Suspension and reactivation
A suspended workspace is paused, not deleted. Its data is intact, and no scheduled work runs until it is reactivated.
Why a workspace is suspended
| Cause | When |
|---|---|
| Trial ended | You did not subscribe before the end of a free trial. |
| Subscription lapsed | A renewal payment was not made by the end of the billing period, after the reminders described in Billing. |
| Cancellation | You cancelled, and the billing period has ended. |
You are emailed before each of these happens, and again when it does.
What suspension means
- Scheduled work stops — the workspace's scheduler is switched off, so email digests, automatic reminders, recurring documents and integrations do not run.
- Data is retained exactly as it was, for the retention period described below. Daily backups of a suspended workspace are not taken, but the backups from before the suspension remain for their normal 30 days.
- The address stays yours. The subdomain is not released for someone else to take.
Reactivating
Go to My account and pay the outstanding renewal or subscribe to a plan. The workspace is reactivated as soon as the payment is confirmed, and everyone can log in again. Scheduled work resumes from that point; it does not catch up on runs it missed while suspended.
If the workspace does not come back within a few minutes of a confirmed payment, contact support with the workspace name.
Data retention and deletion
A suspended or cancelled workspace is kept, with all its data, for a retention period. If it is still suspended or cancelled when that period ends, a final backup is taken and the workspace is permanently deleted: the database, the uploaded files and the subdomain are removed, and the workspace record is kept only for audit. The retention period is part of your service agreement; ask support if you are unsure what applies to you.
Reactivating at any point during the retention period cancels the deletion. If you want a workspace deleted sooner, export what you need first (see Backups) and contact support — deletion cannot be undone.
